I just hemmed my pants.
All by myself. With a sewing machine.
I just want to thank Becca, for giving me the machine in the first place, the Sewing and Vacuum Store in Davis Square for fixing it, my mom for listening to me and trying to help over the phone, my sister for dealing kindly with my impatience, Amanda and Tyler for coming over at the last minute to re-align my expectations about sewing machines, and Stephen for being there for the final project. I couldn't have done it without you.

I'm proud of you Rachel. Next time I visit I will have to show you what else you can do with your sewing machine as Amanda said you do not have the instruction book. Who knows but that you could be sewing on Marlee's wedding dress some day. :^)

Congratulations! (A little late.) That is very impressive. :) Imagine.... the napkins, curtains, baby dresses from repurposed shirts! (I'm imagining it for myself too, someday.)
