The Strobist blog resurrected my interest in photography about a month ago. This blog has quite a following, with regular viewers in the tens of thousands and 5000 members in its Flickr group. After $200 of flash, flash stand, and reflective photo umbrella, I started on my first real project last night. It made the front page today, for its ghetto setup, the fact that it's my first post, and the interesting technique, which I shamelessly stole from someone else.

You're fist picture and your already a super star. Congrats Stephen.
I just got a DSLR and I'm still trying to figure out how to get comfortable with file management and photo organization. Any tips?
Yes, strobist is fantastic. I feel bad for not checking out the rest of your flickr stream, not finding Libby and realizing the helmet shot was yours (-: Your ghetto setup is fun. I need to pull off another wedding and get me some flashes too...
